The most famous lotteries in the world
Every nation has its own favorite lottery, but there are also some games that are quite popular and renown all over the world. These games usually offer huge prizes, and are usually organized by several states or nations. Of course, there is a connection between the two factors, as more nations usually mean more funds that can be offered to the winners.

The US Powerball
The US Powerball is on of the most famous and popular lotteries in the world, and it truly offers some of the greatest prizes to its winners. Beside the extraordinary prizes, the events that accompany the game are quite grandiose and spectacular. In 2015, they even made some changes in the game in order to offer even bigger prizes and to achieve even more winners. Well, this change soon proved to be interesting, as someone won the 1,58 dollar record prize in the January of 2016, which then encouraged the players to keep taking part in the game.
The Mega Millions is another really popular lottery in the United States, which is in fact also quite popular in some other countries outside of the US. While it might be strange that two popular lotteries do exist in the same country, it might be due to the slightly different game structure, one of which might be appealing to one part of the players, and the other for the rest. It means that everyone can choose his or her favorite lottery, or the one that seems the most appealing to him/her. The Mega Millions also offers some fantastic prizes, and some previous records were actually set by this lottery, and not the Powerball. For example, Mega Millions managed to offer a record 648, then 656 million dollars before the Powerball lately set a new record.
Of course, Europe has its own mega-lotteries as well. One of these is the EuroMillions, which is organized by thirteen European countries, such as the UK, France, Ireland, Switzerland and Belgium. This is the lottery that offers the highest prizes in Europe, and sometimes, when nobody wins the jackpot for several weeks, some 190 millions Euros are at stake. And if this wasn't enough, there are some extra draws, when an additional 100 million Euros-worth prize is added to the fund of the prize - no matter how big it might already be.
The EuroJackpot is also a really popular European lottery, which is organized by eighteen European countries. It's basically the little brother of the EuroMillions, and was made because the other game was so popular. The prizes can be quite incredible in this game as well - the minimum amount of jackpot is 10 million Euros, and the maximum is some 90 million Euros, which was won more than just one times this far.
The Italian SuperEna Lotto is not one that always offers huge prizes, but sometimes it does offer some great jackpots. Such was the case in the October of 2010, for example, when 177,7 million Euros were won by a group of 70 people who played the game together.
